Pantry moths are one of the most frustrating kitchen pests because they hide where you can't see them. By the time you spot moths flying around the kitchen, there are usually larvae somewhere in your dry goods, in a flour bag, a cereal box, a packet of rice, or a forgotten bag of dried fruit at the back of the cupboard.

This Green Protect Flour Moth Trap is a pheromone trap that helps you take back control. It releases a synthetic version of the female moth pheromone, which draws in male moths and traps them on a sticky surface inside. By catching the males before they can breed, you break the life cycle, monitor whether you have a problem, and gauge how serious it is.

It's also a useful early warning system. If you start seeing male moths captured in the trap soon after setting it, you know there's a source of infestation somewhere in your pantry, and it's time to do a thorough cupboard clear out. If nothing's caught after a few weeks, you can be reasonably confident your kitchen is clear.

The trap was developed in partnership with entomologists, contains no insecticide, and is genuinely safe to use right next to your food. It lasts up to 2 months before it needs replacing, and the pack contains two traps so you can cover a larger pantry or set one in each of two separate kitchens.

A note on how to use it properly. A pheromone trap on its own won't fix an established infestation, because it only catches male moths. The fastest way to clear pantry moths is to combine the trap with a thorough cupboard clear out: take everything out, throw away any food showing webbing, larvae, or damaged packaging, vacuum the shelves and corners, wipe down with warm soapy water, and store remaining dry goods in airtight containers. The trap then mops up any remaining males and warns you if there's another source you missed.
