How to get rid of Bed Bugs

If bed bugs have found their way into your home you may only become aware once you have suffered some bed bug bites. These insect pests live only on blood, preferring human blood. They like to live and hide in dark out of the way places and in cracks and crevices in beds or other furniture. They are nocturnal creatures that crawl out at night in search of their blood meal.

What is the Best and Most effective way of stopping and getting rid of Bed Bugs?

  • Strip all bed linen and bedding prior to treatment
  • Spray the mattress with our bed bug killing sprays, paying attention to the piping around the edges and any mattress buttons or stitching
  • Spray any soft furnishings, carpets and curtains in the affected room
  • During the daytime, bed bugs live in cracks and crevices, behind skirting boards, under the edges of wallpaper, in bed frames, furniture or in carpets and rugs. If possible, dismantle the bed frame for full access and thoroughly spray these and other furniture joints
  • Apply our bed bug killer powders around the edges of the room where the floor and wall meet
  • During the course of the treatment any visible live bed bug insects or eggs should be spot treated immediately with our insecticide spray
  • Fumigate the affected room with either our power fogger or our smoke bombs

Our advice is to give another Bed Bug treatment after 2 weeks to achieve total elimination and control of Bed Bugs.
